Dr. Pedro Ortiz is an enthusiastic, bilingual cardiologist that obtained his medical degree from the University of Guadalajara in 1991. He moved to Puerto Rico in 1998 and obtained his degree in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease from the University of Puerto Rico in 2004. He has practiced in California, Montana, New Mexico, and Arizona.
Dr. Ortiz has 20 years of experience in the cardiovascular field. His special interests are in hypertension, nuclear medicine, and coronary atherosclerosis. Dr. Ortiz believes primary prevention has a major role in reducing cardiovascular events.
He speaks and writes perfect Spanish. For hobbies, he loves playing golf, hiking, and mountain biking.
